When you run an online home-based business, your web site is more than simply a company location. It’s also your primary source of advertising and marketing. If you’ve noticed that sales are lagging or if you’re simply looking for ideas for a site you’re building, the following five tips can help you boost revenue and develop an even more successful web presence.
1) Stress Your UPS
In this case, UPS isn’t referring to the delivery company. Instead, it stands for Unique Positioning Statement and it’s one of the most important ingredients of your business. Your UPS is basically a statement of what sets you apart from your competition.
Think of it as an answer to the question: Why should I do business with you? You may choose to focus on service, price, or any other special feature of your business that would appeal to customers. Whichever feature you choose should be stressed in all your web site’s content. Don’t shy away from telling others what sets you apart.
2) Add Interactivity
Consumers are shying away from passive activities where they just sit and watch. Instead, they want to be a part of the action, so you need to give your potential customers several ways to participate at your site.

Your signature. Use your email program to create an email signature block that will automatically attach to all of your outgoing messages; it’s a little like an email letterhead. It saves you the effort of including your contact information every time and brings a professional touch to your communications. You might simply include your name, business name, contact details and website or you might also include a sentence or two about your business, a special promotion you are running with a link to your website, or even a favourite funny or inspirational quote.
So you have heard about the blogs or you are sure you are now going through one of the blog. You might have seen blogs in the search results and would not have noticed it. Yes blogs are now making news but still a large number of people consider them as online diaries or a political mouthpiece. What about the business blogs that is lately surfacing on the web sphere? Now the point is that why you should opt for a blog if you have a full-fledged website. How a blog will raise the profile of your business or could enhance brand of your organization. Lets look at the broader picture of the business blogs and why Internet marketers are so interested in this.

Meta information is used to provide additional information about HTML documents so that the search engine crawlers are able to index the information more accurately.
There are 3 important types of Meta tags as far as search engine optimization is concerned:
Title tag:
The Title tag is not a Meta tag. However title tags play a vital role in your site’s rankings. It is these words or phrase that appear in the title of your page in the hyperlink listings on the search engine results. I include the most relevant and specific keywords or key phrases in the title tag that best describe the contents of the page.

The list of promotional tools and resources available to online marketer today is very impressing, and new ones appear almost every day, each fancier and more sophisticated than ever. Almost all of them however are touched (some will even say “cursed”) by a sort of the original sin. After all, after SPAM became criminal offence and as the result direct email marketing became all-but-impossible, the only people who see your offer are those who are also trying to sell something.
